The Netherwood Estate has two beautiful properties available for Pensons guests to stay - The Hyde and The Freeth.
Only a few minutes from Pensons Restaurant, The Hyde is a Grade II* listed medieval hall house that has been transformed into a wonderfully comfortable and relaxing house. Here we will offer bed and breakfast on a room-only basis for restaurant guests on mid-week nights (Monday-Thursday). Alternatively, it is available at weekends on a whole house, exclusive-use basis for house parties of up to 20 guests; perfect for a foodie getaway with friends and family. Occasionally it may also be available on a B&B basis at weekends as part of a special offer - please sign up to the mailing list so we can let you know when this is the case.

BED AND BREAKFAST
The Hyde has nine unique bedrooms, all of which are very comfortable, beautifully decorated with antique furniture and full of period details. Breakfast is served around the large table in the dining room.
There are three types of room to choose from on a bed and breakfast basis, mid-week nights only:
COZY - Smaller rooms in the cottage but with bags of charm. Adjacent bathroom. B&B single occupancy from £120 and double occupancy from £140 per night.
COMFY - Larger rooms in the cottage with ensuite bathrooms. B&B single occupancy from £140 and double occupancy from £160 per night.
CAPACIOUS - Our loveliest, largest rooms in the main house all of which have a real sense of history. Ensuite bathrooms, several with roll-top baths.. B&B single occupancy from £160 and double occupancy from £180 per night.

At weekends, or for longer periods on request, The Hyde is also available on a whole-house basis only, when you have exclusive use of the whole property, making ideal for large friend and family gatherings.
The house and adjacent cottage can sleep up to 20 in ten bedrooms, several of which can be flexibly configured as doubles or twins.
There is masses of reception space including a huge sitting room with open fire, dining room that can seat up to 20 around the mahogany table, large, very well equipped kitchen and separate TV room.
And with Pensons just a short drive or 10 minute walk away across the Estate, there is no need to have to worry about lots of cooking…

The Hyde has a large, totally secluded garden that includes a lovely south-facing terrace, tennis court, hot tub, mini maze, wendy house and a tree house. The Grade II* Elizabethan barn on the other side of the courtyard houses a ping-pong table as well as a croquet set and some children's bicycles.
There are walks around the farm that guests are welcome to use, as well as a stocked trout lake.
There are lots of activities in the local area to make the most of the beautiful countryside for children and adults alike. These include the canoe trips on the River Wye, walks in the Malvern Hills, the bookshops and Literary Festival in Hay-on-Wye, the West Midlands Safari Park, Go Ape at Wye Forest and the restaurants, antique shops and castle in Ludlow.
The Freeth is a beautiful house that sleeps 18, available for bookings for exclusive use only by groups of up to 18. The Freeth was originally a hunting lodge on the edge of the ancient Netherwood Estate and its medieval deer park. It is a 12 minute drive from Pensons, or a lovely walk across the Estate.
The Freeth has now been lovingly restored and transformed into a stylishly furnished and incredibly comfortable house with no detail overlooked. It is hidden away up a no-through road surrounded by some of the most unspoilt, beautiful countryside imaginable.
It has a very large, pretty garden as well as a private indoor heated swimming pool.
The open plan country kitchen is full of period features including beams and a range fireplace but the equipment is bang up-to-date . There is a large kitchen table that can seat 10 and south-facing wonderful views across the lawn to the fields beyond.
A lovely, large, light-filled room with double aspect windows. polished wooden floors and a log fire, with lots of squishy sofas and masses of room for everyone. Perfect for drinks before dinner or reading the Sunday papers.
With a large dining table that can seat 18 in comfort, this is perfect for a celebratory meal or long catch-up chats with friends and family that you see too rarely. There is a wine fridge on hand and if required,
The Freeth sleeps 18 in nine bedrooms. All are beautifully furnished have wonderfully comfy beds and lovely linen so the only thing that will disturb your sleep will be the birdsong in the morning.
