LEE WESTCOTT AT PENSONS
Pensons Restaurant opened at the end of January 2019 on the beautiful Netherwood Estate on the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border with Head Chef Lee Westcott and encapsulates the team’s love and respect for quality, seasonal, local produce.
We spent eighteen months transforming a range of derelict farm-buildings into a fantastic re-imagined space that retains all the heritage of its past combined, with the new and contemporary. The perfect venue for our modern and imaginative ingredient-led cooking.
Pensons provides Lee and his team with the opportunity to farm, forage and grow some of the ingredients from the Estate, as well as showcasing the amazing produce from the local area, bringing to life our ethos of eating locally, seasonally and sustainably.
Please note that we will be closed for our summer holidays from Monday 19th August, re-opening on Wednesday 4th September 2019.
With its own kitchen garden, bee hives, animals, game and endless foraging opportunities in the woods, we source an increasing amount of produce from the Estate, as well as other carefully selected local suppliers. The team here are very excited by the provenance and quality of the ingredients use to create menus that are seasonal, local and sustainable, treating fresh produce with the respect it deserves. The restaurant’s vision is to encapsulate the narrative of this area where we live and work and showcase the fantastic food, drink and artistic provenance of this corner of the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border.
